Yutile is an AI-powered life management app built for individuals and families. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we collect and use it.

• Household member information — names and contact details of household members you link within the app

• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version
• Usage data — features used, session duration, and crash reports (anonymised)
• Region — an approximate region inferred from your device's locale/settings, used to set currency and formatting. Yutile does not collect precise GPS location

🔍 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Yutile app and its features
• Power Nova, our AI companion, with context about your life across all pillars
• Enable household sharing features — tasks, meal plans, and events
• Send you reminders, notifications, and updates you have configured
• Respond to your support requests and feedback
• Analyse usage patterns (in aggregate, anonymised form) to improve the product
• Send you product updates and announcements (you can opt out at any time)

💾 Data Storage

Yutile is designed with a local-first approach. The majority of your personal data — goals, habits, health logs, finances, and notes — is stored directly on your device.

Data that is synced to our servers (Firebase, operated by Google) includes:

• Your account credentials and profile
• Data you explicitly share with household members (shared tasks and events)
• Push notification tokens for reminders

Our cloud provider (Google Firebase) may process and store this data in data centres in various regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such international transfers.

🤝 Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Household members you link — shared data (tasks and events) is visible to linked household members within Yutile
• Service providers — we use Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, and trusted large-language-model providers for AI features. These providers process data only as instructed by us and in accordance with our agreements with them
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority
• Business transfers — if Yutile is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

🔒 Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS
• Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication
• Financial data (budgets, expenses) is stored locally on your device and never leaves it
• We regularly review and update our security practices

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your data using commercially reasonable means.

Yutile is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
